Confirmation

When you accept these terms and conditions and thereby confirm your order, this forms a binding agreement. Once we have received your order, you will automatically receive an email confirming it.

We reserve the right not to deliver if the stock level was recorded incorrectly at the time the order was received. If we cannot deliver in accordance with the terms in the order confirmation, we will contact you and give you the option to cancel the order.

Please read the terms and conditions before placing an order on karimdesign.dk.

Age limit

Customers under 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian. If you are under 18, you must tell your parent or guardian about our privacy policy before you register or use the site's services.

Payment

karimdesign.dk accepts Dankort, VISA/Dankort, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and JCB. When paying by debit or credit card, the customer must enter all the necessary card details and the security code if the transaction uses 3D Secure. All information is sent securely to karimdesign.dk via SSL (Secure Socket Layer) over an encrypted connection.

This prevents unknown and unauthorised sources from accessing customer information. karimdesign.dk does not store the customer's credit card details once the transaction is complete.

All prices include Danish VAT. karimdesign.dk reserves the right to change prices at any time. Prices on karimdesign.dk are shown in Danish kroner (DKK).

karimdesign.dk ships all parcels within Denmark with GLS and PostNord. For international destinations, DHL, TNT and GLS are used. No exceptions can be made. Delivery time for standard shipping outside Denmark is 3-7 working days, and within Denmark 24 hours. karimdesign.dk accepts no responsibility for delays in customs clearance outside the EU.

All delivery times are approximate. International shipping costs vary from continent to continent. Prices are shown in our FAQ and are added to the purchase when the customer places an order.

Returns and right of withdrawal

Your right of return depends on what you have bought and where you bought it. Please read the whole section before you order.

Dresses made to order — no right of return

All our wedding dresses and suits are only produced once we have received your order. They are made individually to your measurements or your chosen size, length, colour and design. They are therefore goods made to your specifications and clearly personalised.

Such goods are exempt from the right of withdrawal under section 18(2)(iii) of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act. A dress made to order can therefore not be returned, exchanged or refunded — not even when bought online.

This also applies if you have chosen the wrong size, length, colour or design, and if the event the dress was bought for is cancelled or postponed.

We therefore recommend that you use our size guide and book a fitting in our showroom before you order. Your 2-year right to complain about defects still applies, of course — see the section below.

Sample dresses — 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases

A sample dress is a dress that has already been made and is sold as seen. It is therefore not made to your specifications. If you buy a sample dress online, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the dress. The dress must be returned in the same condition as you received it.

Accessories: belts and bags — 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases

If you buy belts or bags online, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the item.

Let us know at kontakt@karimdesign.dk before the deadline expires, and send the item back no later than 14 days after telling us that you wish to withdraw. The item must be returned in its original, unused and unwashed condition with all tags and packaging attached. You are liable for any reduction in the item's value if it has been handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and characteristics.

Veils and hair accessories — 14-day right of withdrawal if the seal is unbroken

Veils and hair accessories are worn directly against hair and skin and are therefore delivered sealed for reasons of hygiene. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases, provided that the seal has not been broken. If you have broken the seal, the item cannot be returned, as it is not suitable for return for health and hygiene reasons (section 18(2)(v) of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act). If the seal is intact, follow the same procedure as for belts and bags above.

Purchases in our shop

Under Danish law, the right of withdrawal only applies to distance selling, i.e. purchases made online. Purchases in our shop at Store Kongensgade 112 therefore carry no right of withdrawal, and the purchase is binding unless otherwise agreed in writing. Your 2-year right to complain about defects still applies.

How to return an item

First contact us at kontakt@karimdesign.dk so we know the item is on its way.

A return label is not included, and you pay the cost of the return shipping yourself. Feel free to use the packaging the item came in — it is reusable. Send the item to:

Keep the receipt for the return shipment until we have confirmed that we have received the item. It is your responsibility that the parcel reaches us. Returns that do not meet the above requirements may be rejected.

Refunds

Once we have received and approved your return, we refund the amount to the card you paid with. This normally happens within 2-3 working days after you have received our confirmation by email.

We also refund the shipping you paid at the time of purchase, up to the cost of the cheapest standard delivery we offer. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we only refund the amount for the cheapest standard delivery.

Faults, defects or wrong item

If you have received a wrong, defective or damaged item, please contact us at kontakt@karimdesign.dk within 72 hours of receiving it. We will handle your enquiry straight away, and of course you will not pay for the return shipping in these cases.

This applies to all items — including dresses made to order — and is independent of the rules on the right of withdrawal above.

Right to complain about defects

All products from karimdesign.dk are covered by a 2-year right to complain about defects. It covers faults in the fabric, workmanship and other production-related faults.

It does not cover faults caused by normal wear and tear. To make a complaint, please contact our customer service at kontakt@karimdesign.dk.

Privacy

karimdesign.dk treats customer information with the greatest respect and integrity. No information is passed on to third parties.

Cookies

karimdesign.dk collects information about customer behaviour on the website using cookies.

A cookie is a small text file placed on the computer's hard drive that records the customer's behaviour. Cookies are used to make the customer's experience on karimdesign.dk more personal.

Cookies are safe files that cannot run program code, cannot transmit viruses and cannot be used to collect information about the customer's internet use on other sites. karimdesign.dk does not use cookies to collect or store personal data. The customer can choose not to accept cookies.

Most browsers let you delete or block cookies and ask for the customer's consent before a cookie is stored. Cookies are managed in the browser settings. Please note that declining cookies on karimdesign.dk may affect the shopping experience.

karimdesign.dk uses cookies to keep the customer's basket up to date, and cookies are needed to complete a purchase. karimdesign.dk uses cookies for the following general purposes: functionality, statistics, sales and marketing.

The functional cookies make sure that karimdesign.dk works as intended — for example, that customers can add items to the basket and complete a purchase.

No personal data is stored, and cookies are deleted automatically when the browser is closed. We use services from Google (Google Analytics) to collect web statistics. Cookies from these providers make it possible to see which pages are visited, where traffic comes from, and so on.

This information is used to measure and improve the customer experience and to analyse sales and marketing campaigns.

Force majeure

We have the right to invoke force majeure in the event of war, war-like events, civil war, revolution, government sanctions, strikes, lockouts, blockades, natural disasters or similar.

This means that the agreement does not have to be fulfilled in whole or in part. Should this happen against expectations, we will try to notify you.
