Frank & Julianne's wedding
How did you meet?
Our first date was in a small, charming town in Norway. It was a gray and cold autumn day, but my stomach was full of butterflies.
How did he propose?
One evening, we were on our way to his parents' house (in Norway) when he suddenly took a different route than usual. We soon found ourselves on top of a mountain with a beautiful view of the illuminated town. He handed me a soft package containing a beautiful dress. As I unfolded the dress to get a proper look, a small ring box tumbled to the ground. That's when I realized what was happening. Of course, I was incredibly happy and touched.
Which Karim Design dress did you choose and how did you know it was the right wedding dress?
I tried on several different dresses, both those I thought I would like, but Hesam suggested it might also be a good idea to try on some different types of dresses than what I initially imagined. And that's a piece of advice I'd like to pass on, because it's easy to get stuck on what you think looks good on your figure. But you can be pleasantly surprised by trying on a few different styles. I had no doubt once I put on the Emerald dress. I had a very special feeling and knew that was the one. - though with some modifications, so it became 'my' dress. Karim Design had some incredibly beautiful lace from Paris that looked stunning with the silk dress! I got the dress exactly as I wanted it.

Describe your wedding day look ...
Classic, elegant and timeless.
How did you feel in your dress on your wedding day?
I felt really comfortable. Even though it was a big dress, it was tailored to my measurements, and it fit perfectly. I loved every second.
Where did you get married? Tell us about the location, style, and atmosphere of your wedding day.
We had our wedding on a perfectly sunny summer day in June. My parents have a beautiful and large garden, which was decorated for a solemn ceremony. The sun shone from a clear sky, and a gentle breeze rustled through all the summer dresses. It was a touching and lovely day with our families and friends from both Norway and Denmark.
What was the most challenging part of the planning?
We got married in the summer of 2020 - so Covid-19 and restrictions in both Denmark and Norway took up a lot of our thoughts.
What made your day extra special?
That everything turned out so perfect, even though so much was uncertain due to travel restrictions, gathering bans, the weather, etc. But everything went incredibly well.

The funniest moment of the day was??
There were many funny, beautiful, and unforgettable moments, but the first thing that comes to mind was right before the ceremony started, I was standing with all my little and lovely bridesmaids (nieces and cousins aged 4-10). They were so sweet in their identical, pretty dresses, each with their bouquet of flowers. You could tell they felt like little princesses. The plan was that when the music started, they would walk first, followed by my father and me. The bridesmaids were so engrossed with my aunt, who was standing on one side of the split crowd of guests, that they went completely the wrong way. All the guests smiled, and my aunt had to go and redirect them. :)
Where did you go for your honeymoon?
At that time, most of the world was closed for entry, and of course, we followed the travel restrictions that were in place for Danes. The Thursday before the wedding, a few countries opened up, and the only one that was an option for flights was Budapest. We had 4 days in Budapest, so we still have a longer and more exotic trip to look forward to :)
Any last advice or wise words you can share with Karim Design's future brides?
Relax and enjoy your wedding day. Make sure you don't do too much yourself, so you're not tired and stressed on the day. Trust those around you, lean back, and enjoy it.
